Sarath Kumar is a highly skilled Performance Engineer with over 12 years of relevant experience in the field of Performance Engineering/Testing and Python Automation. He is currently working as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at vmware, where he has been instrumental in characterizing vSAN IO performance over on-premise and performing end-to-end automation to qualify vSAN SMB Fileservices. He has also led vSAN SMB Fileservices release qualification and performed VDI bootstorm and loginstorm performance benchmarking in vSAN SMB Fileservices. Sarath has extensive experience in end-to-end automation with parameterizing the scaffolding to deal with different hardware and allowing the user to change the TPCx-HCI workload. He has used TPCx-HCI benchmark to identify performance issues with vSAN. Prior to joining vmware, Sarath worked as a Software Quality Engineer II at Hewlett Packard, where he was responsible for end-to-end functional testing of RMC-V features and automating the regression test cases. He also executed test cases and created test cases while involved in test planning. Sarath reviewed feature specs, user guides, and SPOC reviews while validating the Vmware features that should co-exist with RMCV. He closely worked with the development team in resolving product defects and troubleshooting and resolving issues in the test environment. Sarath holds a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communications from Viswanadha Institute of Technology and Management. He possesses excellent skills in software engineering, testing, Python, QA, and web development.
