Saravanakumar Nagarajan is a Mechanical Lead Development Engineer for Electric Power Steering system at Bosch with over 7 years of experience in mechanical design engineering. He specializes in designing components, sub-assembly, and assembly based on project requirements using PTC Creo. He is also responsible for drafting the system level assembly drawing and vehicle level installation drawing for electric power steering systems. Saravanakumar is skilled in analyzing and implementing cost-saving ideas, preparing SOR for various components procured from suppliers, performing design calculations, and conducting 2D and 3D tolerance analysis at the assembly level. He has experience in creating and maintaining new BOMs for customer project samples in Oracle Axalant PLM and maintaining CAD data in Windchill PDMLink. Saravanakumar has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore. He has a good understanding of pressure die casting part design, plastic part design, 2D tolerance analysis, 3D tolerance analysis, DFM & DFA, and 8D - CAR, DFMEA & DRBFM. Currently working as a Senior Engineer at Bosch, Saravanakumar was promoted in July 2020 and given additional responsibility for handling VW/AUDI/Porsche customer projects. He has received several awards for his dedication and passion towards design and development activities throughout his journey at Bosch. Previously, Saravanakumar worked as an Associate Engineer at Bosch Global Software Technologies, responsible for the design and development of electric power system components. He was part of a team that delivered a project package on time with higher quality, leading to the approval of a dedicated team in BGSW to work on the project.
