Sarfaraz Memon is a highly skilled Senior Manager in Data Science and Engineering with over 16 years of experience in the field. Currently, he leads the Data Science and Analytics team at Rebel Foods, formerly known as Faasos. His team comprises talented Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Data Analysts, and they work on creating Machine Learning models in various areas such as Delivery Time Prediction, Demand and Inventory Forecasting, Up-sell/Cross-sell Recommendation Engines, Dynamic Discount Engine, and more. Sarfaraz and his team also work on Computer Vision models to ensure Food Safety and Quality, NLP models for customer support and feedback analysis, and Analytics, including insightful dashboards and automated reports for Supply Chain Management, Operations, and Tracking Business Metrics & KPIs. Prior to joining Rebel Foods, Sarfaraz worked as the Assistant Vice President - Business Data and Analytics at DSP Group, where he was part of the Search team and worked on several projects in Data Science and Machine Learning, including News Topic Modelling using NLP, Shopping Products Recommendation, COD Order Returns Prediction, Online Forum Spam Filtering, Search Auto-Suggest, Duplicate Products detection based on Image Similarity, and more. He also worked as a Senior Software Engineer - Postal Automation at Mastek, where he worked with their Germany based client Siemens AG on their Postal Automation systems. Sarfaraz was involved in rapid prototyping and implementation of various modules, including machine simulators that modelled the behaviour of actual Postal Automation machines. Sarfaraz holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Information Technology from Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Navi Mumbai. He is highly skilled in Data Science, Machine Learning, NLP, Search, Computer Vision, and Senior Software Engineering.
