Sarisht Wadhwa is a Ph.D. student at Duke University with a passion for decentralization and a global mindset. With 1.44 years of relevant experience, Sarisht has worked as a Senior Software Developer at Samsung and as a Decision Support Analyst Intern at EXL. During his time at Samsung, Sarisht worked in the Camera System team, connecting Google's Camera3 API with functional calls to the Hardware Abstraction Layer. He also enhanced Samsung's AI-Based Super Slow Motion mode for the flagship S20 series and experimented with dynamic frame rate recording to enhance the user viewer experience. Additionally, he developed a Night Mode solution for Samsung Galaxy S21 series, completely replacing conventional ISP pipeline with a neural engine, to enhance performance while lowering Key Performance Indexes. At EXL, Sarisht worked on optimizing train schedules and creating a working timetable for freight trains. He used linear programming and data analytic tools to improve the designed system and proposed an alternate solution to the existing solution. Sarisht holds a Bachelor of Technology in Textile Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a Master of Technology in Computer Science (via advance standing) from the same institution. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science at Duke University, with an expected graduation date of December 2026. Sarisht's tech stack includes Mobile, AI, and Software Engineering. He is passionate about decentralizing everything and believes in the power of one world, one people.
