Sarthak Babbar is a highly skilled computer science graduate with a passion for data structure and algorithms. He is currently working as a Data Scientist at Aptara, where he has designed and developed python modules to correct grammatical errors in research articles using ML and rule-based models. He has also developed a hybrid ML and rule-based SaaS solution to automate the tagging of research article components, which is currently being used by 400 people in production. Sarthak has improved editing time by 10 minutes on average per document with 88% precision & 68% recall. He has collaborated with international clients and linguistic experts to prioritize features, debug, and conduct UAT. Sarthak has leveraged AWS EC2 to remotely develop and speed up data experimentation. Sarthak is a co-founder of an analytics-based investment fund, and his research papers have been published in IEEE & Springer. He is proficient in Python, C++, AWS, Shell scripting, API’s, and Docker. Sarthak has completed his Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from JIIT and is currently pursuing his Masters in Computer Science from North Carolina State University, which will be completed by December 2022. Sarthak's past experience includes working as a Data Analytics Intern at Aam Aadmi Party, where he extracted population data and analyzed it using web scraping, Python Imaging Library, and Google API's. He has also worked as an intern at Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) (SSPL Division), where he compared the performance of Deep Neural Nets to other ML algorithms for classification and regression problems on publicly available datasets.
