Sarvesh Mehtani is a highly accomplished Computer Science and Engineering Senior at IIT Bombay with a keen interest in Machine Learning and Quantitative Trading. He has a background in Mathematics (INMO Awardee), Statistics, and Machine Learning. Currently working as a Quantitative Researcher at Optiver, Sarvesh has a proven track record of delivering results in his field. Sarvesh has previously worked as a Research Engineer at Google, where he evaluated language understanding of mBERT for Transliterated and Code-Switched Text and collaborated with 5+ researchers to develop IndicBERT-mBERT focused on Indian Languages. He also developed a HindiBERT model on Cloud TPUs and obtained SOTA results on XTREME Benchmark. Prior to that, he worked as a Quantitative Research Associate at Quantify Capital, where he was responsible for writing quantitative trading algorithms and back-testing to generate alpha. Sarvesh has an impressive education history, having completed his Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore. He is well-versed in Research Scientist, ML, and test technologies. With 1.86 years of relevant experience, Sarvesh is a highly motivated and driven individual who is constantly seeking to improve his skills and knowledge.
