Sasha Hellstenius is an experienced engineer at Spotify with a passion for reliability and architecting software that fits into the larger picture. She holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and has over 4 years of relevant experience in the field. Sasha is relentlessly growth-driven, which is why she decided to relocate to NYC in the middle of a pandemic. She is motivated by learning and strives to create an environment that fosters growth by actively seeking and giving feedback, engaging in mentorships, and mentoring others. Sasha embraces the opportunity to grow from failure and regularly asks for feedback to understand how she can improve. She wants to foster an environment where her colleagues and she feel enabled and supported, where questions are welcomed, failures are shared openly, and new ideas are embraced. Sasha's past experience includes working as a Backend Engineer at Spotify and as a Project Manager at Studs18, where she was one of two responsible representatives of the Computer Science program's study trip to North America. She worked with the coordination and organization of the project. Sasha's education history includes a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, a Civilingenjörsexamen from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, an exchange semester in Computer Science from National University of Singapore, and a Naturvetenskap degree from Åva Gymnasium.
