Sasha Naranjit is an accomplished Software Development Engineer with over 8 years of experience in the industry. Currently working as a Senior Software Development Engineer - Distributed Systems at Workday, Sasha is responsible for the Student Records component of a Student Information System. Before joining Workday, Sasha was a HCI Research Intern at eBay, where she worked as an integral part of a diverse team of 45 students and 3 staff members. She served as a mentor for new managers and developed strong management skills as a result of mentoring new managers and focusing on new employee development. Sasha also has excellent interpersonal skills that result from a focus on engaging community members and attracting them to programs. She was responsible for program planning and execution, from brainstorming to assessment, and interfacing with many other groups and businesses to facilitate co-sponsorship in community events. Sasha carried forward the greater vision of the organization and developed a sense of community on campus in an effort to perpetuate mental health and well-being. Sasha also worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at Cornell University in the ReImagination Lab, where she studied the value of making goals salient in productivity applications. She developed an Android productivity application that emphasizes personal goals and was responsible for requirements specification, interface design, and software development. Sasha also worked with SQLite databases and assisted with data storage and data collection method development, local and network archiving. She was part of a team of 3 undergraduates and co-authored a paper accepted to ACM SIGCHI 2013, which was awarded Best Paper. Sasha holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Computer Science and Information Science from Cornell University. She also holds an IB Diploma from Boyd Anderson High School. Sasha is proficient in several areas, including software engineering, research science, design, UI, Java, and Android. She is an excellent team player and has a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
