Sasi Kiran Yelamarthi is a highly skilled and motivated Member of Technical Staff at Plus.ai, with extensive experience in software engineering, artificial intelligence, research science, deep learning, and computer vision. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, where he earned a Master's degree in Computer Science, and the Indian Institute of Technology, where he earned a Dual Degree in Computer Science. With over 3 years of relevant experience, Sasi has worked with several companies, including Plus.ai Inc. and Indian Institute of Technology Madras. At Plus.ai Inc., he served as a Software Engineer Intern (Research & Development), where he worked closely with the perception team in developing point cloud processing models. He also developed deep learning models for semantic segmentation of ground, lane-mark, and moving objects on data from California roads. Additionally, he worked on developing a minimal simulator for generating and augmenting LIDAR data. At Indian Institute of Technology Madras, he served as a Graduate Researcher, working on sketch-based image retrieval (SBIR) with Prof Anurag Mittal in the Computer Vision Lab. His work on the zero-shot setting of SBIR got accepted at ECCV 2018. Sasi is highly proficient in several tech stacks, including software engineering, AI, research science, deep learning, and computer vision.
