Saswata Chakravarty is a seasoned software engineer with over a decade of experience in software development and data science. He is currently serving as the Lead Software Engineer at Neural Concept, where he is building the Neural Concept Shape framework. This framework is designed to develop deep learning-based surrogate models that predict the values of engineering simulations directly from input shape geometries. Saswata is also responsible for deploying these models for real-time prediction and design optimization. Prior to joining Neural Concept, Saswata worked in the AI Platforms team at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he helped build machine learning algorithms on AWS Sagemaker. This fully-managed platform enables developers and data scientists to quickly and easily build, train, and deploy machine learning models at any scale. Before that, he worked in the Financial Intelligence team in Amazon Retail, where he helped build a custom BI application that analyzed data at scale from different sources such as catalog, inventory, forecasting, ordering, and shipment, and provided users with key business metrics. Saswata is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Science (IISC), where he earned his Master's degree in Systems Science and Automation. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University. He has a strong technical background and is proficient in various technologies, including AWS, ML, Deep Learning, AI, and Sagemaker. With over ten years of relevant experience, Saswata has proven himself to be a skilled software engineer and data scientist. He is a problem solver at heart, and his ability to build and deploy machine learning models at scale has made him an invaluable asset to any team he works with.
