Sateesh Panda is a highly experienced Data Scientist with a strong academic background and a wealth of expertise in the field. He is currently working as a Senior Data Scientist at Walmart, where he is responsible for developing and implementing NLP, Recommendation, Personalization, and Segmentation algorithms. Sateesh is an expert in working in ambiguous setups and taking complete ownership of Data Science Problem Formulation and Solutioning, including deployment in the cloud. Sateesh has worked on a wide range of projects, implementing a diverse set of algorithms from Classical ML algorithms to advanced NLP Algorithms, including Regression, KNN, Naive Bayes, Decision Tree, Boosting, Bagging, Clustering, Dimension reduction, Text Mining, Word2Vec, BERT, Transformer, LSTM, RNN, CNN, Siamese Network, and more. Before joining Walmart, Sateesh worked as a Lead Data Scientist at Fidelity Investments, where he worked on large scale unstructured data, arriving at a rate of 2 Million Call Transcripts & Billions of clicks per Month. He also worked as an Analytics Manager at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited, where he formulated and executed multiple Data Science use cases around sales and distribution effort, profiled customers and transactions based on Propensity of renewal premium payment, and built ML solutions to trigger Fraud and Mis-selling instances across distribution channels.
