Sathappan M is a seasoned technology leader with over 13 years of experience in the software engineering industry. Currently, he serves as the Co-founder and CTO at Kula, a technology company that provides innovative solutions for businesses. In his current role, Sathappan is responsible for leading the technology team and driving the company's technical strategy. Prior to Kula, Sathappan held key leadership positions at Grab and Shopback. At Grab, he served as the Software Engineering Manager II, where he led the engineering team for the chat and voice products. He successfully built a communication platform at scale for all Grab business units. In his role as the Engineering Manager - SRE and Data Infrastructure at Shopback, Sathappan led the SRE and Data Infrastructure team. He built an in-house monitoring tool using Prometheus, InfluxDB, and Grafana. He also worked closely with AWS and made several optimizations to improve stability and cost. Additionally, he improved the existing infrastructure management on Terraform, making it easier for managing infra. Sathappan holds a B.Tech degree in Computer Science from Pondicherry University. He is well-versed in a range of technologies, including Senior Software Engineer, infra, SRE, AWS, and Terraform.
