Satya Ananthu is an Engineering Manager at Google with over 15 years of experience in the tech industry. He strongly believes in the power of technology to transform industries, empower people, and unleash creativity. His mission is to build great teams and products that make magic happen and delight users. Satya has been a part of great products such as Kindle, Goodreads, Prime Now, Android Auto, and currently, he is the Head of Engineering for the Video Collaboration team at Google. Satya takes pride in delivering high-quality products at optimal cost and speed for a global audience on the internet. He has experience in building scrappy and rickety products to test an idea in a large established market and building technology infrastructure to transform and democratize an industry. Satya is also an angel investor, investing through angel networks/groups in Seed/Series A companies. He coaches engineers and emerging leaders in improving their effectiveness and loves learning about personal finance and how to build wealth with a long-term view. Satya has a Master's Degree in Computer Applications from PSG College of Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science from Sri Venkateswara University. He has a diverse tech stack that includes Senior Software Engineer, Android, iOS, test, infra, and Mobile. In his previous roles, Satya was a Self-employed Angel Investor/Micro VC, deploying $XX,000,000 of capital in early-stage and late-stage companies. He was also the Head of Engineering for the Prime Now mobile applications team at Amazon, where he delivered impactful and business-critical products and managed managers (cross-functional team of 25+ people) and remote teams. Satya has experience leading cross-org projects and managing managers.
