Satyam is a Consultant II (Insurance Analytics) at EXL, with a passion for analytics and consulting. He holds an MBA from the Vinod Gupta School of Management, IIT Kharagpur, and has a strong background in data science, statistical modelling, optimization, visualization, NLP, and time series. Satyam is proficient in Python, Excel, Azure, and SQL, and has experience in machine learning, data-driven decision making, and consulting. During his MBA, Satyam actively participated in business case study competitions and won several prizes. He ranked 22nd in D2C Most Competitive Business Leaders Awards, receiving more than 2400 nominations from premier B-Schools in India. He was also the National Finalist in TVS Credit EPIC Analytics Challenge, which had witnessed a fierce competition from 4700+ participants across India. Apart from these, he also won prizes in 15 other B-schools competition. Before pursuing his MBA, Satyam worked as a Software Engineer (Full Stack Web Developer) at Tech Mahindra for 27 months, as a part of the Infrastructure Management Team. He also worked as an Analyst and Analytics Intern at Ford, where he worked on projects related to energy contract optimization and image processing. Satyam is an avid reader and traveler, and he is passionate about investing, photography, and social service. He also writes blogs related to analytics on Medium. Satyam holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from Haldia Institute of Technology and completed his Class XII and Class X from Modern Academy Gaya and Gyan Bharti Gaya, respectively.
