Saumya Suvarna is a highly skilled software engineer with over 4 years of experience in the industry. She is currently an Engineering Intern at Twitter, where she has built an end-to-end solution that finds and deprecates unused LookML content, improving user wait time and increasing efficiency. Saumya has also worked at Cisco as a Software Engineer II on the Cloud Security Team, where she processed millions of identities from various sources and designed, implemented, optimized, and scaled Golang-based microservices. She has a good understanding of design patterns and multithreading, and is experienced with dependency management tools, API standards, code generation tools, event-driven architecture based solutions, and router packages. Saumya is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania, which she is expected to complete in May 2023. She also holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from Vellore Institute of Technology, which she completed in January 2018. Saumya's technical skills include software engineering, infrastructure, Golang, Kafka, and microservices. She is a Google Venkat Scholar and has attended the GHC22 conference.
