Saurabh Banerjee is a seasoned Data Science professional with 7.5 years of experience in creating Analytics and AI products and solutions leveraging Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Semantic Search, and Computer Vision techniques. With a strong background in software engineering, Saurabh has been involved in the entire project cycle - from problem formulation to research, design, implementation, and deployment. He has worked across E-commerce, Banking Tech, and Healthcare Tech domains, delivering successful products and solutions. Currently, Saurabh is working as a Lead Data Scientist at Prudential Plc, where he is responsible for creating Data Science and Machine Learning solutions for the Pulse App launched by the company. His prominent projects include developing search and content recommendation capabilities in the PruAmanah platform, solving cold start problems with Multi-Arm Bandit, developing content moderation for text, images, and videos posted in the pulse app and communities, and building a virtual assistant for exercise pose matching and pose correction suggestions. Prior to Prudential, Saurabh worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Tokopedia, an Indonesian E-commerce giant, where he was responsible for creating solutions for the Search and Ads teams using Data Science, AI/ML, and Deep Learning approaches to enhance users' search experience by showing them relevant products and ads. His projects included category predictions for user search queries, finding relevant keywords for the seller to bid for their advertised products, enhancing the Ads fill rate, and creating Deep Semantic Match models for matching search queries to Ads products semantically. Saurabh's past experience also includes working as a Data Scientist at UnitedHealth, where he worked on projects such as Claims Survey Comments Classification and Customer Pain-point Prioritization using Text Classification, Text Similarity, Natural Language Processing, and Deep Learning approaches. He has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra.
