Saurabh Baranwal is a highly skilled Desk Quant at Squarepoint Capital, an Equity Mid frequency trading firm. He is a Computer Science Engineering graduate from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. Saurabh has a strong background in Data Structures and Algorithms and is passionate about problem-solving. Saurabh has gained valuable work experience through his internships with Morgan Stanley and Samsung R&D. During his internship with Morgan Stanley, he worked as a Technology Analyst in the OTC settlements team. He developed a user training step-by-step guided tour using Angular Shepherd wrapper library for an application that dealt with netting trade cash flows into a desirable set of payments, thereby reducing transactional costs. He also performed extensive testing for Angular Application using Jasmine, Karma, and Protractor Framework. At Samsung R&D, he worked with the 5G Networking team in the TCP/IP Domain as a Software Research and Developer Intern. To broaden his international exposure, Saurabh was a Research Exchange Student at Shibaura Institute Technology, Japan, where he worked on graph structures and parsing techniques under the guidance of Professor Isao Sasano. Saurabh is also a profound leader and has acted as the Branch Representative of his batch. He has been trying his hand at Competitive Debating since 2018 and holds strong communication skills, being one of the prime members of Debating Society, IITG. Saurabh's education history includes a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, and schooling from Delhi Public School, Ghaziabad Society.
