Saurabh Bhagvatula is a highly skilled ML Engineer with a passion for solving real-world problems at internet scale. He has 4.27 years of relevant experience in the field and is currently working as a Data and Applied Scientist II at Microsoft. In his current role, he is leading efforts to improve spell correction in Bing Search suggestions. He has also contributed to and led the development of the intelligence feature within Microsoft To-Do clients, aimed at increasing user engagement and delivering a delightful customer experience. Prior to his work at Microsoft, Saurabh spent two years as a Machine Learning Engineer with B2B startups, building Machine Learning systems for natural language data. He was responsible for developing the engineering pipeline for training and inferencing the Machine Learning model, as well as implementing the state-of-the-art model using the Deep Learning framework. Saurabh's technical expertise includes building datasets for model development and evaluation from varied sources, exploratory and comparative analysis of intelligent services, and contributing to the development and improvement of engineering pipelines for intelligent features. He is also skilled in integrating intelligence pipelines into desktop client applications. Saurabh holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science from Bhilai Institute of Technology (BIT), Durg, where he graduated in 2016. He has a broad tech stack that includes Research Scientist, ML, infra, AI, Deep Learning, Search, Integration, Software Engineer, and Data Engineering.
