Saurabh Jain is a seasoned Engineer and Entrepreneur with over 24 years of experience in tinkering with Linux on desktops, servers, and embedded systems. He is passionate about startups and building new products and ventures. Jain has a keen interest in devops, product development, open source hardware and software, and team building. Currently, Jain is working as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Rocket Fuel, where he owns monitoring, optimization, and upgrades for the company's entire data center infrastructure. He is proficient in Nagios, Graphite, Puppet, CentOS, kernel optimization, and testing and deployment of new infrastructure technologies like Logstash, Kibana, SaltStack, Docker, OpenStack, and OpenCompute. In the past, Jain has worked as the Vice President of Enterprise Technology Solutions at Knowlarity, where he was responsible for delivering the company's enterprise product portfolio to a diverse range of large and medium organizations. He was also responsible for the development and operation of internal tools for enterprise automation and business intelligence. Prior to that, he worked as a Member of Technical Staff at Bloomreach Inc., where he handled customer engineering, system operations, and 24x7 production server issue resolution. Jain holds a B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Communication Systems from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and has completed summer internships at the University of Cincinnati and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also holds a B.E. from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology and completed his high school education in Science and Mathematics from Campion School, Bhopal. Jain's tech stack includes DevOps, infra, Puppet, Software Engineer, product designer, and Docker.
