Saurabh Singh is a seasoned full-stack software developer and architect with over 12 years of experience in designing, implementing, and loving every aspect of software development. He is equally comfortable writing Java/Python-based applications or microservices as he is building D3-based chart-heavy Angular or React-based single-page applications. His expertise includes working on complex ETL projects in Oracle and T-SQL, but he is equally comfortable using NoSQL databases like MongoDB when it makes more sense for a project. Currently, Saurabh is working as a Senior Software Developer at Facebook, where he is responsible for developing new services and platforms to enable safe, easy-to-use, and scalable data sharing abilities within the department. Prior to this, he worked as a Vice President at Goldman Sachs, where he was responsible for overhauling the intra and inter departmental data sharing strategy. He also worked as a Tech Lead for Equities Syndicate Engineering in NY, where he oversaw product development and support for the equity deals syndication banking teams. Throughout his career, Saurabh has demonstrated his ability to design and build high-performance and flexible analytics engines using Java from scratch that work on top of a Mongo database to drive the UI D3-based charts. He has also designed and built a brand-new analytics application using AngularJS/Java/Scala/Mongo and Spark to display highly interactive and informative charts for clients. He has extensive experience in AWS, Spring, and JavaScript, and is an SME for MongoDB and the assessments platform. Saurabh holds an M.S in Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a B.E in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai.
