Saurabh Sohoni is a software engineer at Cisco with a specialization in web security. With over 6 years of relevant experience, he is a full life cycle engineer involved in design, development, testing, deployment, operation, and support. Currently, he is working in the retail domain for a UK-based eCommerce for groceries giant, building highly scalable web apps and micro apps aimed at achieving less than 1% downtime. Saurabh is leading the design system and web components team in India, aimed at creating a universal design language for all web and mobile apps. He is equipped with knowledge on distributed systems and working experience with microservices, micro front-end patterns, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) environments. He has experience in leading micro teams responsible for continuous and frequent delivery of features, bug fixes, and measuring their direct impact on customers. As a trained web security specialist, Saurabh is responsible for finding and resolving static and dynamic security vulnerabilities in production applications. He is an AI and robotics enthusiast and follows deep learning tech blogs and recent advancements in AI closely. He has worked on a self-driving car nano degree project a couple of years back and has a dying wish and a long-term goal of working on building the safest self-driving car and making it available for all. Saurabh loves and lives to code and is an active participant in various hackathons aimed at solving problems of the future. He has recently tried out proof of concepts and made open source contributions to ECMAScript Modules (ESMs) and building for the modern web, micro frontend framework for building ReactJS applications, and robotic projects. Saurabh is also an enthusiastic speaker at various internal tech meetups and conferences. He recently spoke on GraphQL - Scaling, Securing, and Managing at XT eSummit 2020 and How to transition from an Internet first company to an AI first company at a forum at Tesco India HSC. Saurabh has a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from VIT University and has completed a Self Driving Car Engineer Nanodegree from Udacity. His tech stack includes software engineering, web, AI, CI/CD, frontend, deep learning, testing, ReactJS, microservices, and mobile.
