Sayantan Ghatak is a Development Manager with over 15 years of experience in the technology industry. He is currently working at Amadeus Labs India, where he leads four teams of talented developers in Hospitality Distribution and IT. Sayantan is a person passionate about technology and believes in leading the team by doing work as a servant leader. He has a clear understanding of various domains, including travel, telecom, and supply chain, and has proven experience in customer handling and expectation management. Sayantan's significant achievements include driving the BLR division for innovation, filing one IP, and winning the best idea from BLR three quarters in a row. He is a domain expert in Hospitality Distribution & IT and has worked on the design for the integration of Amadeus Payment Platform to the Amadeus Hotel distribution platform. Sayantan has significantly increased revenue by launching this integration in the MENA market. He has also led the first lab level APAC focussed team and delivered 15 major enhancements for the Hotels product for the APAC region. Sayantan's objective is to work towards understanding the APAC market and work on products in this region as APAC is the fastest growing market in the world. He is a key stakeholder in the Agile SaFE leadership team for the division and actively participates in the hiring process. Sayantan is involved in the rating exercise for the whole division, and ratings are given with collective inputs. He follows the Bell Curve model. Sayantan has worked as a Scrum Master for a key team for Hotels division in the APAC market and as a Developer for the Hotels division for key products. He is a hands-on programmer and is currently working with product management and studying market trends for the post-COVID world. Sayantan is responsible for defining the product roadmap in functional and technical criterions and driving the migration of legacy components to the cloud with a key focus on micro-services architecture. Sayantan has a Post Graduate Diploma in Data Science from the International Institute of Information Technology – Bangalore.
