Sayantan Sarkar is an accomplished entrepreneur and early-stage investor with a strong background in fintech and financial services. He is currently serving as Vice President at Stellaris Venture Partners, where he is responsible for identifying and investing in promising startups in the areas of SaaS, Dev, Infra, Cybersecurity, OSS, AI, Web 3.0, Fintech, and Real-estate. Prior to joining Stellaris, Sayantan co-founded and led Capzest, a digital lending platform focused on providing unsecured credit to individuals for income generation purposes. He successfully raised funding for Capzest in two rounds, including a seed round of $200,000 from Lion Ventures and a pre-series A round from Cibin Yao and Huang Wei. Sayantan's experience in product management, financial analysis, technology, and business development helped him lead Capzest to multiple accolades, including being named a Top 50 Fintech India '18 by Lattice80. Before starting Capzest, Sayantan worked at Deutsche Bank, where he analyzed fixed income markets to provide trade coverage to large hedge funds and pension funds. He holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) and Master of Technology (M. Tech) in Industrial and Systems Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, where he demonstrated leadership and event management skills.
