With over 21 years of relevant experience, Scott is currently employed as a DevOps Engineer at Cisco, where he works with a mix of AWS and other cloud providers, as well as Terraform and ISO27001 internal/external auditing (which he is currently learning). In the past, Scott has worked as a Senior DevOps Engineer at TiVo, where he demonstrated familiarity with AWS and Terraform, deploying microservices and applications to AWS, setting up CloudWatch alerts, and more. Additionally, he has experience with Docker and Openstack, working on microservices for customer-facing services and internal tooling for the Ops team. There, he wrote checks for Hadoop HDFS using Python, and wrote scripts for HDFS rack location and enabled rack location for all datanodes on a per-environment basis. He also has experience with distributed systems like Hadoop HDFS and ZooKeeper, as well as monitoring and Linux administration tasks.
