Seamus Halton is a Senior Software Engineer at BD, with over 7 years of experience in the industry. He holds a Master's degree in Software Development and Design from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and a degree in Corporate Law from the same institution. Seamus has worked in highly motivated and experienced Feature Teams in fascinating environments, gaining great experience in software development. He is currently working in the Chorus Team at BD, where he is part of a highly motivated and skilled scrum team working on platform application software for multiple flow cytometers. He is currently working on a native application using Electron framework with the latest web technologies. Seamus has also worked on a software application for a flow cytometer using mainly Microsoft technologies on front and back end, as part of the FACSuite Team at BD. Seamus has also worked as a Software Dev Analyst at Dell, where he gained great experience due to the large number of teams, systems, tools, and processes followed in developing and maintaining the application. He learned and followed many of the good practices followed here such as Code Reviews, Clean Code & Solid Principles, Unit Testing, Test Driven Development, interaction and co-ordination between development and test as well as good communication surrounding branching, merging, building and deployment processes. Seamus has also worked as an Internal IT Support Analyst at Hewlett Packard Enterprise during his final year of college, where he dealt with a wide range of software applications and programs as well as identifying hardware issues. He displayed great resilience and rapid learning in starting position on the eve of HP splitting up (HP Inc & HP Enterprise) and working throughout this difficult period which gave rise to many various complications. Seamus is a fast learner and capable of adapting to a new role quickly and effectively. He has a solid work ethic, punctuality, education, and interest in the area of IT, particularly software, and the duties that go with it, making him a solid candidate for a position.
