Sean Brooks is a Senior Software Engineer with over 11 years of experience in building scalable and secure technical solutions. He is proficient in Javascript, React, .NET frameworks, and open-source projects. Sean has a passion for working in complex environments that require critical thinking and teamwork. He specializes in payment processors, web-related integrations with CRMs, ERPs, and ESPs, and improving eCommerce. Currently, Sean works at Hyperice, a global leader in recovery technologies, as a Senior Software Engineer. He has worked on several projects, including Yotpo eCommerce integration, Klaviyo custom integration, and Adyen payment platform management. He has also integrated Apple Pay, PayPal, and Klarna in international accounts and implemented 3DS identification security workflows. Previously, Sean worked as a Full Stack Developer at Hyperice, where he designed and developed a .NET core RMA service that automated the customer returns process. He also contributed to major checkout features of the eCommerce site, which was built using React and Redux on the frontend and .NET framework as an API middle-layer that connected to a MySQL database on AWS cloud services. He has experience with multi-tiered applications and integrations with modern NextJS framework and serverless functions. Sean has also worked at Claricode as a Software Developer, where he designed two-factor authentication and identity proofing processes for DEA regulated software used by medical practices across the United States. He also built an e-prescribing RESTful API web service using .NET Core and Code-First Entity Framework that was deployed on Azure. Apart from work, Sean enjoys attending coding Meetups and Harvard Bookstore events. He has a growing interest in web development, operating systems, and system architecture. In 2015, he thru hiked the 2,200-mile-long Appalachian Trail, from Georgia to Maine. Sean holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
