He was brought in as a graph database expert to build a beverage path solution using Neo4j deployed in AWS for a large beverage processing company. The solution reduced the time to get metrics and analytics on source-to-sink data from weeks to minutes. He also built a POC solution for one of the world's largest financial asset management firms to preemptively identify potential conflicts of interest using knowledge graphs. The solution was so successful that it became the impetus to adopt Sem's knowledge graph solution across their entire organization. Additionally, Sem was brought in as the lead developer to rebuild a notification software application for a leading healthcare company as a distributed system in Azure. The result was a robust and performant application that ran with minimal supervision and secured the $1M in revenue that it was already generating. Sem's past experience includes working as a Senior Developer at LoyaltyOne and as a Senior Application Developer at Stericycle. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Carleton University.
