Seroney Matoke is a highly experienced Manager Automation at Safaricom PLC with over 11 years of relevant experience in the technology industry. He is responsible for defining automation test strategies, creating automation frameworks, and automation scripting for both internal facing applications/tools and all customer-facing platforms. Seroney is accountable for building and leading the full automated testing team, continuously reviewing the team deliverables, coaching, and doing team performance reviews. He is also responsible for managing CAPEX and OPEX budgets for automated testing tools. Seroney is passionate about driving transformations in testing through automation to achieve higher levels of efficiency through the adoption of fit for future technologies. He aims to reduce software testing times by 50% and engage with stakeholders in creating schedules and managing the automated testing teams to execute within the planned timelines. Seroney monitors the team performance against the schedules and provides direction for the automated testing team, ensuring that activities of the team are aligned with other QA teams and all stakeholders. Seroney has previously worked as a Partner Engineering Manager at Andela, where he managed up to 30+ developers embedded within global partners to ensure their success. He collaborated with Solution Architect and Partner Experience to ensure engagement support and was the primary technical delivery/quality escalation point both to partners and developers. Seroney also worked as a Software Project Lead at Compulynx, where he managed a team of 24 developers, QA & Implementation engineers in project delivery and collaborations. Seroney holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Moi University and a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education from Cardinal Otunga High School - Mosocho. He has a strong technical background in test, QA, Senior Software Engineer, and infra.
