Shaheen Mojtabai is a highly experienced VP of Engineering with over 12 years of relevant experience in the tech industry. Currently, Shaheen is serving as the VP of Engineering at inMarket, where she is responsible for leading the engineering team and driving innovation to deliver exceptional products to their customers. Prior to joining inMarket, Shaheen served as the Director of Engineering at thinknear by telenav, where she managed teams related to third-party ad exchange integration, reporting infrastructure, and cloud management. She was responsible for splitting one team into multiple teams, creating continuous deployment and automated testing in their deployment infrastructure, and maintaining the real-time bidding system with 99.9% sub 50ms response times. Shaheen also helped build and maintain the Thinknear Engineering brand by finding open-source projects and creating blog posts. During her tenure, Shaheen was responsible for million-dollar-plus budgets and contract negotiations for many engineering-related services and tools. Shaheen started her career at thinknear by telenav as a Senior Software Engineer, where she improved and maintained the real-time advertising system with low latency constraints and built and designed major pieces of a new front-end architecture using Angular.js and Rails. She also worked on the reporting system using Hadoop with Hive and Amazon Redshift and worked with many Amazon services, including Dynamo, S3, Route53, Elasticache, RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, and CloudWatch. Shaheen holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She has a strong technical background and is proficient in various technologies, including Senior Software Engineer, infra, CI/CD, test, Integration, Software Engineer, AngularJS, Javascript, Hadoop, Frontend, Ruby, and Apache Hive.
