Shailendra Mahani is a product leader with a strong background in digital marketing and technology. He has over 10 years of experience in product management and digital marketing across diverse industries, including social e-commerce, digital media, and mobile apps. Shailendra is an MBA graduate from MICA, and he has a passion for building user-centric products with great user experience. He has a good understanding of data analytics tools, which enables him to take data-driven product decisions. Currently, Shailendra works as a Product Manager at Google, where he is responsible for driving the company's business objectives. Prior to joining Google, Shailendra worked as a Senior Product Manager at simsim, a video-first, vernacular social commerce startup that got acquired by YouTube (Google) in July 2021. At simsim, Shailendra worked directly with the co-founders to define the product vision and product roadmap for simsim multiply, a single platform for influencers to manage their stores on simsim. He conceptualized the 'multiply' app from scratch and launched it in less than four months. Shailendra managed a product team of 10+ members from design, development, data, and product and launched various product features, including video submission workflow, video QC workflow, store profile management, payouts, 'Share & Earn' (affiliate marketing), 'Rubaru' (for celebs to send personalized wishes to their fans), store-level analytics, video-level analytics, and influencer platform (POC). He also worked on growing organic traffic using SEO for simsim on mobile web. Before joining simsim, Shailendra worked as a Product Manager at LBB, where he worked directly with the co-founder to define and prioritize the product roadmap to create an unparalleled product experience. He was responsible for improving engagement and retention metrics on the product (both web and app), building unified instant search to help users find the right place/product/event on the platform, and leading a team of developers to build personalized recommendations using machine learning (collaborative filtering). Shailendra also had complete ownership of the O2O (Online to Offline) project to drive online users to on-ground events/experiences/activations. Shailendra holds an MBA degree in Marketing and Communication Management from MICA and a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication from JIIT.
