Protean eGov Technologies Ltd. is a leading technology services company that specializes in conceptualizing, architecting, developing and executing innovative digital public infrastructure and citizen-centric e-governance solutions in the country. Shailesh has been instrumental in establishing several nationally critical technology platforms such as the Permanent Account Number (“PAN”) issuance, the Tax Information Network (“TIN”) including Online Tax Accounting Systems (“OLTAS”), Central Record-keeping Agency (“CRA”) for the National Pension System (“NPS”) and the Atal Pension Yojana (“APY”), and has been a key contributor to the "India Stack". Prior to his current role, Shailesh founded budhyati ventures, partnering with visionary founders in the quest to build innovative world-class companies. He served as an extended member of the founding team and supported the entrepreneurs primarily in three areas: charting out strategic direction, shaping growth initiatives and building great teams. His portfolio comprised mostly early- and growth-stage B2B SaaS startups, although he also worked with a handful of companies in technology services, space-tech and industrial-tech.
