Shakir MJ is an experienced Senior Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the computer software industry. Currently working as a Software Developer at Tally, he has delivered enhancements in Interpreter and Language Engine of the Tally Development Language and gained great expertise in Language development. He has also taken ownership of Tally Developer IDE product and introduced auto complete feature, multi typing, multi paste, and other modern editor features. Shakir has gained experience in Win 32 Application development. Prior to Tally, Shakir has worked at 24/7.ai as a Member of Technical Staff and Senior Member of Technical Staff. During his tenure at 24/7.ai, he has worked on various projects such as Recommendations and Chronos (Reporting Data pipeline) where he designed and developed apps on top of the pipeline to read and collate events from Cassandra and write to MSSQL DB. He has also developed the recommendations platform from scratch for the chat platform and gained expertise in machine learning and Natural language processing. Shakir is skilled in Java, C++, Distributed systems, NoSql databases like Cassandra, Distributed processing frameworks like Storm and Spark and Kafka. He has a strong human resources professional with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) focused in Computer Science from Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College. With relevant experience of 11.95 years, Shakir is a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Spark, Java, NoSQL, Cassandra, Kafka, Software Engineering, and QA. He is a dedicated individual with a passion for technology and a strong desire to learn and grow in his field.
