Shalaka Agarwal is an experienced Software Engineer with a passion for solving complex problems and providing innovative solutions. Currently working at Shriram Insight Share Brokers Ltd as a Software Engineer, Shalaka is responsible for developing a back-office application that stores data of over 2 lakh clients for their trading accounts. She designed a database structure for the same after analyzing request and response file structures of different regulatory authorities of India. Shalaka also implemented Web API 2 for making an online investment platform for clients and developed an application using MVC architecture in Asp.Net that helps clients complete their electronic Know Your Customer (e-Kyc) with little physical intervention. Prior to her current role, Shalaka worked as an Associate Software Engineer at CGI, where she worked with a life insurance client to solve their real-life problems using applications. She automated a process that required an alert to be sent to the team when a crucial application faltered using Asp.net and SQL. Shalaka also designed and developed an in-house application used by team leads and managers to keep track of tickets. Shalaka holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Techno India, Kolkata, and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata. She also completed her High School education from Maheshwari Girls' School, Kolkata. Shalaka's tech stack includes Software Engineering, SQL, dotNET, ASP.NET, Javascript, and Web development.
