Shamanth Chandra is an experienced SDET at Yugabyte with a proven track record in testing products that solve problems around data. With expertise in data integration, databases, data observability, and ETL, Shamanth has worked with cloud, big data, and on-premise systems. He has spent recent years of his career in startups, where he enjoys adding value by being clear in the vision and using the latest tech stacks. Shamanth has created automation frameworks with best practices for both back-end and front-end automation. He has extensive experience in different levels of testing, including designing, creating, executing, and automating test cases. He is passionate about going deeper into the product to catch defects before the customer faces them. Shamanth is skilled in Java, Selenium, TestNG, SQL, AWS, REST API, Jenkins, Databricks, Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark, Python, Perl, Informatica Power Center ETL, BDM, Cloud Data Integration, XML, web services, Gitlab, Bitbucket, and Perforce. He has experience working with different connectors, traditional databases like Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Hadoop environments, and cloud environments and databases like s3 and Redshift. Prior to joining Yugabyte, Shamanth worked as a senior SDET at Acceldata, where he played a key role in launching a fresh SaaS product around data observability space. He contributed from scratch to alpha to beta to major release and was responsible for observability around Databricks and Snowflake integration with the cloud pulse product of Acceldata. He also worked on an automation framework with best practices to reduce the maintainability overhead. Before that, he worked as a lead software QA engineer at Informatica, where he was responsible for quality assurance in Informatica Cloud Data Integration and Snowflake + DTM + Push down optimization. Shamanth holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore (VTU), and has completed his pre-university education from Christ Junior College. He completed his high school education from Deeksha English High School. With 8.11 years of relevant experience, Shamanth is an expert in SDET, SQL, integration, Databricks, Snowflake, test, Hadoop, ETL, AWS, Selenium, Spark, big data, Jenkins, front-end, back-end, web, QA, Python, and Java.
