Shan Kadavil is a dynamic entrepreneur and a hands-on leader with over 23 years of relevant experience. He is currently the CEO and Co-founder of freshtohome, a young and enterprising start-up that aims to disrupt traditional ways of sourcing and distributing fresh food, starting with seafood and meats. Under his leadership, freshtohome has become the world's largest online fresh fish and meat brand and is now rapidly expanding into other fresh categories such as fruits and vegetables, dairy, and more. Shan's core expertise lies in building scalable organizations, attracting and mentoring the best talent, and fostering a fun and productive culture in the organization. He is also passionate about finding unmet market needs and taking a product all the way from conceptualization to launch. In addition to his entrepreneurial pursuits, Shan is a devoted farmer and fisherman who works closely with these communities to bring technology and impact to their lives. Prior to freshtohome, Shan was the Country Manager, India at Zynga, the largest social gaming company on the web. He was one of the early members of the team building and running games such as Farmville, Mafia Wars, Fishville, Cityville, and more. Shan was also responsible for building the first and largest center outside the US for Zynga, which involved building exciting games that defined the future of social gaming and engineering the infrastructure used for gameplay by millions of Zynga users. Shan is also the founder and now an investor in dbaux.com, a company that provides cloud and appliance-based solutions for security, remote support, remote access, IT management, automation, and custom open-source stacks. Dbaux has a strong focus on the security segment, having worked with a number of large government organizations. Shan founded the company and, as CEO, took it to profitability before transitioning to other avenues in his career. Shan holds a B.Tech in Computer Engineering from Model Engineering College, Cochin, and has also attended Sharjah Indian School. His technical skills include AI, web, and infrastructure.
