He has also worked as a student intern and project developer at Siemens, where he developed a working scaled prototype on the idea of "Gesture controlled C-arm" for ease of control by surgeons during surgery and navigation of scanned images/X-rays/MRI images using hand gestures. This initiative was a part of the project development phase in continuation of IMLEAP February 2019. Shankar's technical expertise includes software development, research, and computer vision.
