Shankar Vaideeswaran is a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer with over 15 years of experience in the field. Currently working at pure storage as a Software Engineer, Shankar has also worked for top companies in the industry such as Cisco and Tilera Corporation. At Cisco, Shankar was a Senior Technical Leader for Forwarding in Nexus 9000. He has a deep understanding of forwarding on Trident 2 chips and Cisco custom chip sets. He also designed an SDK for Cisco custom chips, creating reusable components that made it easy for developers to plugin APIs. Shankar is also skilled in debugging network failures on chips, cores, and x86. At Tilera Corporation, Shankar was a Member of Technical Staff. He worked on highly optimized cache-coherent multi-core/parallel programming, user space packet processing engines for Tile-Gx processors, and high-performance IPV4 LPM lookup engines. Shankar also has experience with Tile-Gx PCIE form factor cards discovery protocols and Open Vswitch data path on Tile-Gx platforms.
