Shanky Sharma is an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with over 10 years of experience in automation, white box, and manual testing. He is proficient in Selenium Web Driver, Appium, Rest Assured, TestNG, JaCoCo, Sonarqube, Git, JMeter, Selenoid, Saucelabs, and Cypress. Shanky has experience in building automation frameworks, web services using spring boot, automating mobile, website, and API testing, and exposure to micro-services architecture, containers, and distributed computing tools such as Docker, Rabbit MQ, AWS, and MQTT. Shanky is a community enthusiast and the founder of sdetsforsdets, a community for quality enthusiasts with over 250 members from all over the world. He loves to solve business problems with innovative ideas and has domain expertise in web and mobile apps, fintech, logistics, and CRM. Currently, Shanky works as a Test Engineer at Infosys, where he automates web/desktop apps using QTP/Selenium WebDriver using Java. He has led an offshore team of four members and has extensive experience in functional testing of projects, regression testing, smoke testing, raising defects, and project deployments. He is also the anchor of the Knowledge Management initiative of the organization and has organized and actively participated in organization initiatives and events. Shanky has previously worked as a Software Engineer, QA at LinkedIn, where he was responsible for automating SlideShare website using Selenium WebDriver and Ruby, and automating SlideShare iOS/android apps using appium on emulators and real devices. He has also worked as a Senior QA Engineer at Mobikwik. Shanky has a B.Tech degree in Information Technology from Chandigarh Engineering College. He is proficient in programming languages like Java and Ruby and has sound knowledge of data structures and algorithms. He has experience in working with databases like MySQL and MongoDB and continuous integration tools like Jenkins. Shanky is a tech enthusiast and has experience in backend, CI/CD, microservices, integration, UI, and infra.
