Shannon Shih is a highly experienced Lead Software Engineer (iOS) at NuVasive with over 12 years of experience in the field. She has a strong technical background in software development, particularly in iOS application development. Shannon has worked with a variety of front-end iOS displays, implementing basic table displays to statistical graph animations. She has also implemented back-end API consumption from RESTful JSON calls and websockets, ensuring software quality by developing unit and functional tests using both Appium and XCode. In her previous roles, Shannon worked as a Senior Software Engineer at NuVasive and as a Software Engineer at Transcend Insights, where she collaborated with a team of senior engineers to implement a healthcare iOS application called HealthLogix. She also helped lead efforts in AngularJS ramp up of the team, collaborating and implementing single-page applications (SPA). Furthermore, she researched and implemented third-party vendors needed for SPA, such as Protractor and Restangular. Shannon has experience in HIE and CCD records, completing course training in Groovy on Grails, and writing various scripts using Groovy to query CCD records. Shannon holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego.
