Shantanu Dubey is a Lead Data Scientist (Product) at Postman, the world’s largest API development tool with over 10 million active users. He graduated in Computer Science from IIT Bombay in 2019 and has since been working towards developing ingenious ways to conceptualize and visualize data to help organizations become data-driven. As a Data Scientist, Shantanu uses various machine learning algorithms and deep learning techniques to successfully map user behavior across Postman's product and selectively target new potential consumers. He has also worked on Image Processing Algorithms, designing basic web crawlers, and ranking systems during his past internships. Shantanu's experience also includes being the Head of Public Relations at The Entrepreneurship Cell IIT Bombay, where he keenly followed the developments in the startup world. He co-founded a drone-based startup that used Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to process and analyze various data captured through images. At Postman, Shantanu has single-handedly written and deployed an algorithm for "Trending on Postman," which is now part of the website's homepage. He has also headed a small team to offer API Analytics as a product feature to enterprise users. Currently, he is exploring natural collaboration flows and Network Effect within Postman. Shantanu's past experience at Postman includes working closely with the Director of Product to define, quantify, and forecast top-level growth metrics. He ideated and implemented similar metrics for every function within the product to measure the success of OKRs. He also created an in-house Applicant Tracking System that helped identify bottlenecks and reduce the average hiring time of a candidate from 2 months to 2.5 weeks. Shantanu's education history includes a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
