Shantanu Gangal is a highly accomplished CEO and entrepreneur with a passion for innovation in the lending industry. He is currently the CEO of Prodigal, a category leader in lending intelligence backed by Y-Combinator, Accel, and Menlo VC. With over a decade of relevant experience, Shantanu has a deep understanding of the complexities of the lending lifecycle and is dedicated to revolutionizing it through cutting-edge technology. Prior to Prodigal, Shantanu led Data Science & Analytics for Fundbox, a lender in San Francisco. He built and grew the data analytics team at Fundbox to 7 analysts and interns, where they were responsible for modeling product behaviors and driving business decisions based on analysis. The team ran A/B tests, designed KPIs, and built executive monitoring dashboards. Additionally, Shantanu was responsible for Fundbox's data relationships with external credit bureaus and marketing vendors. Shantanu's educational background includes a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from the University of Pennsylvania - The Wharton School. He also completed the Making Something People Want program at Y Combinator. Shantanu's technical skills include data science, and he has worked as a Data Scientist. He has also mentored at Springboard. Shantanu's experience at Blackstone and training as an engineer have given him a unique perspective on the intersection of finance and technology.
