Shantanu Prakash is a Cloud Support Engineer II at Amazon Web Services, with over 6 years of experience in server and system administration, IaaS, AWS Cloud, Linux server configuration and management. He is an AWS Certified Professional and has expertise in RHEL and other Linux flavors, as well as knowledge about OpenStack and virtualization. Shantanu is also a Cloud Developer, web development and database analyzer. Shantanu started his career as a Firefox Student Ambassador in the Mozilla Community, where he contributed to open source Mozilla projects. He is a core team member in the Mozilla Community, Gwalior. Shantanu is an active debater and has participated in numerous talk shows, elocution, debates, assembly newsreader & discussions. He loves to explore new technologies and is passionate about his work. At Amazon, Shantanu helps customers to run their IT infrastructure on AWS Cloud, adopt and migrate to Cloud with less hassle, and advises AWS customers on AWS best practices to secure their cloud infrastructure, ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery. He leverages his customer support experience to help AWS internal service teams improve their services. Shantanu applies advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to customers' individual needs as per their industry requirements. Shantanu has worked on escalations in support operations escalations team within SLA's based on the urgency of issues (15 min. response SLA) and worked closely with service teams. He has also mentored team members for handling complex cases to demonstrate deep-dive and deliver results. Shantanu has a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from ITM.
