Shaon Diwakar is a seasoned Software Engineer with over 17 years of experience in the field. Currently, Shaon is working at Meta/Facebook as a Software Engineer (Business Engineer) helping build the future of media products one line of code at a time. As a Business Engineer, Shaon is a part of a global team of strategic software engineers at the intersection of business, technology, and innovation in today's cutting-edge industries. What sets Shaon apart from other engineers is that he interfaces directly with key client partners from some of the largest companies across industry, to deliver solutions with code across the Facebook family of apps. Prior to his current role, Shaon held various positions at Meta, including Technical Account Manager, News - APAC, and Strategic Partner Manager, News Partnerships - ANZ. In these roles, Shaon worked with news partners to co-develop and rollout Facebook's news products, as well as worked on broader initiatives related to news across the APAC region. Shaon also worked with the most important news partners across all levels - from executives, managers, and operational staff at media organizations across ANZ. Shaon holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Software Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney, which he completed in 2005. His tech stack includes software engineering, and he is constantly seeking to expand his knowledge and skills in this area.
