Sharad Kotharkar is a highly skilled Senior Engineer with over 7 years of experience in Verification and Validation of Automotive controllers. He is currently working at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India, where he is responsible for the verification of P1 and P2 Hybrid functions at subsystem level. Sharad is an ISTQB Certified Software Tester- Foundation Level and has experience setting up Test Framework and improving the existing framework to be more efficient and effective. Sharad has extensive hands-on experience with HIL and SIL setup and testing, and is proficient in verification and validation, simulation, test tools, and methods. He also has sound knowledge in system testing, Integration testing, and Fault insertion testing. Sharad is experienced with different programming and scripting languages, including Winwrap basics, Python, C, C++, and CAPL. He has basic knowledge of the ISO 26262 Functional safety standard and proficiency in communication protocol such as CAN[J1939], J1587, UDS, LIN, GMW3110, EtherCAT. Sharad has experience working in Agile/SCRUM projects and has mentored and guided engineers and trainees. He has previously worked at Volvo Group as a System Verification Engineer, where he was responsible for the verification of truck functions on Test rigs. He has also worked at KPIT as a Test Engineer, where he was responsible for Diagnostics Testing of Engine and Transmission Controls. Sharad holds a BE degree in Electronics and communication from KLE College of Engineering and Technology, Belgaum. He also completed his PCMB from Govt PU College, Karwar, and his schooling from St. Joseph's School, Karwar. Sharad's tech stack includes test, research scientist, Python, Integration, and SDET.
