Sharad Saxena is an accomplished engineering leader with over 10 years of experience in the Real Estate, Telecom, and Payment domains. He has a proven track record of establishing high-performance teams to build highly scalable and robust application systems. Sharad's expertise lies in developing high availability low latency systems for internet-scale with a strong focus on Quality, Maintainability, and Performance. His tech stack includes Java/J2EE, Node.js, C++, Web Services, Kafka, Mongo DB, Redis, Memcache, Aerospike, Rabbit MQ, Elastic Search, and Firebase. Currently, Sharad is an Engineering Manager at Airtel X Labs, heading the Entertainment Vertical. His primary responsibility is to increase Daily Active Users and Monthly Active Users of the Airtel Thanks App by constantly improving the premium experience given to all users. He is also building a Digital Store, an aggregator platform that will enable customers to purchase all online services like Insurance, OTT subscriptions, Doctor Visits, ordering food, etc. Sharad has worked as a Technical Lead at Paytm, where he designed highly scalable solutions for the Recharges ecosystem. He hugely contributed to the major architectural revamp of all the services in the Recharges Team. He also designed new services like Bill Reminder, Automatic Subscription, Enterprise Bill Pay System, integration with Bharat Bill Pay System of NPCI, Mobile Number Portability Service, and Loyalty Points Integrator System. He improved Staging environment testing by moving it to Docker. Sharad has also worked as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Elara, where he designed the marketplace model for Proptiger from scratch and relaunched it as a revamped version of makaan.com. He worked closely with the design team and constantly gave feedback for the initial design phase. On the client-side, he used the T3 framework so that the modules that perform the common functionality can be used seamlessly on the buyer side of makaan.com as well on
