Sharanya Kamath is a passionate Data Scientist with a focus on Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Deep Learning. Currently pursuing an MS in Computer Science with a concentration in Data Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, she has a year of experience as a Software Engineer at Microsoft. In her previous role, she worked in the Professional Services Data and Insights team of the Cloud+AI organization, where she gained expertise in handling big data, from ingestion and computation to data visualization using PowerBI. She has also worked on various Azure platforms, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Analysis Services, Databricks, and DevOps. Sharanya has also worked as a Microsoft intern in 2019, exploring recent data storage and retrieval technologies of Azure Data Explorer. She has also worked as a HERE intern in 2018, where she applied ML to make the driving experience more enriching for millions of people across the world. Sharanya's education background includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Surathkal, a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Bharatnatyam from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya.
