Sharath Vulupala is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer at Cision, with over 6 years of relevant experience in building modern cloud applications, managing teams, and legacy monolith to cloud migrations. He is passionate about solving programming and business challenges and enjoys discovering the unknowns on a daily basis. Sharath's most recent tech stack includes Angular, Typescript, .Net, .Net Core, Azure, Cloud, Microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, Kafka, ServiceBus, DevOps, Energy, Smart meters, NLP, Release Pipelines automation, YAML tasks, and Sonarqube. He has also cleared GOOGLE's FOOBAR programming hack challenge in Python, all 5 levels, and saved the galaxy. Currently, Sharath is working with Cision Insights (Bulletin Intelligence) and is responsible for solving key business problems and creating new solutions in PR and earned media space. He is also working on tech stack modernization, on-prem to GCP, planning, development, ops, and support, hiring and mentoring, and building a stronger team for the product. In the past, Sharath has worked with Itron, Inc. as a Software Engineer, where he was part of a talented team building the next generation of the Riva water, gas, and electric automated metering infrastructure platform using scalable cloud-based technologies. He has also worked with the University of Colorado Boulder as a Graduate Engineer. Sharath holds a Master's degree in Electrical Computer and Energy Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
