Shariq Hasnain is a highly skilled Engineer with expertise in Graphics stack from application, driver to GPU Architecture. With over 16 years of experience in design, development, optimization, debugging, and support of 3D Graphics drivers/libraries such as Vulkan, OpenGL ES, and DirectX, he is currently serving as a Sr. Staff/Mgr at Qualcomm. Shariq's strong acumen in working on 3D graphics Performance Optimization, post-silicon functional debug, and architecture exploration for next-gen GPU features has made him a valuable asset to the companies he has worked with. He also has extensive experience in developing applications using DirectX, OpenGL ES, and Vulkan APIs, and has contributed to tools development. In his past roles, Shariq has worked as a Graphics Engineer at Intel, where he was responsible for OpenGL ES driver development, Android applications functional issues fixes, and Pre-Silicon Performance validation & optimization of Intel Next Generation GPUs for Tablet/Laptop. He also worked as an Engineer, Graphics Working group at Linaro, where he represented Samsung in the Linaro Graphics working Group. Shariq's educational background includes a B.Tech in Electronics from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi. He also has experience working with tech stacks such as Python and Android. Shariq has excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills, making him a great leader and team player.
