Shashank Gupta is an experienced software engineer with a passion for building scalable and performant applications. Currently working at Google as a software engineer, he specializes in server-side microservices development and is interested in cloud services architectural challenges. Shashank started his career at Cisco in 2015, where he worked on NXOS, Cisco's proprietary CLI-based networking OS for Nexus data center switches. He was involved in bug fixes and enhancements in several components such as VPC, LACP, Port bring-up/down, Control Plane Policing (CoPP), etc. He used C and Python for development and automation tasks. In 2017, Shashank moved to Adobe and started working on Adobe Acrobat's desktop application (Win/Mac), where he was involved in implementing several flagship features such as new shared review and improved PDF text search. He primarily worked with C++ and JavaScript. In 2019, Shashank joined Adobe's Lightroom backend team, where he is building Lightroom's photo cloud services, handling data of the order of Petabytes and a million requests per minute. He is primarily focused on improving collaboration workflows and ML/AI related services for best photos and face detection. Shashank's technical skills include Ruby, C++, C, JavaScript, Python, and experience with server-side technologies such as Docker, Nginx, Dynamo, Mongo, Redis, and AWS. He is an active contributor on GitHub and Medium, and his relevant experience is 8.20 years. Shashank holds a degree from City Montessori School, where he completed his education from 2005 to 2010. He has worked as a software engineer at Cisco and Adobe in the past and is currently a summer intern at Nexus Engicounsults, Noida, where he is building automation software using NI-LabVIEW.
