Shashank Johri is a highly experienced Product Management professional with over 14 years of experience in the field. He is currently working with Microsoft as a Product Manager for Microsoft Teams, where he is leading the development of Policy Management and Governance products. Shashank has a strong background in Enterprise and B2B SaaS products, with expertise in both core backend and consumer-facing products. Before joining Microsoft, Shashank worked with Zendesk as a Product Manager for Enterprise Chat products. During his tenure, he led the development of the Chat Enterprise product portfolio and roadmap, including productivity feature work for supervisor and agent user interface. He also initiated and led the Chat Scalability project, achieving substantial scalability gains in capacity to handle #Chats, #Visitors and #Agents per account. Shashank also played a key role in upgrading thousands of legacy Enterprise customers’ accounts of worth millions of dollars to the latest Chat experience. He partnered with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Design, User Research, Program Management, Product Marketing, Sales, Account Management, Legal, Revenue Operations, and Customer Support located in multiple geographies for the execution of the roadmap. Shashank also worked with Grab as a Product Manager for Marketplace products. During his tenure, he led a portfolio of ‘core backend’ and ‘consumer-facing’ products related to the ‘Bookings Matching' platform, which matches drivers and passengers for millions of rides daily across 7 countries in South East Asia. He was responsible for defining the product vision and roadmap and improving the key metrics for Grab. Shashank built and rolled out multiple high-impact products in a very short duration by working with cross-functional teams of Data Scientists, Product Analysts, Engineers, Designers, Product Marketers, User Researchers, and Business Operations teams. He liaised and aligned with Country Heads and their teams across SEA, which led to an increase in profitability, rides, driver retention, and driver/passenger NPS and provided a strong competitive advantage against the formidable competitor in South East Asia. Shashank holds an MBA from Duke University and National University of Singapore, with a specialization in Business Administration and Management, General and Strategy and Organization, respectively. He also holds an Engineer's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur.
